Ashley Graham calls for change in the beauty industry

Ashley Graham calls for change in the beauty industry. Fashion and beauty model, Ashley Graham believes that beauty brands are not in touch with reality and they are still failing to accommodate for the everyday woman.

The Plus-Size model, thinks that these beauty brands are missing out simply because they are not inclusive enough towards an ever growing  female audience.

The 31-year old was speaking to glamour magazine, Allure telling them “It’s mind-boggling to think about how other major beauty companies haven’t really thought about all types of women. It says a lot about the makeup industry and how they really haven’t caught up with the times because it doesn’t matter what nationality you are, what religion you are, what part of the world you’re coming from – we all generally wear makeup.”

Graham who is infamous for promoting plus-size clothing, swimwear and lingerie, made history back in 2016 as she was the first plus-size model to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Earlier this year she was chosen to represent American cosmetic company, Revlon who made her their brand ambassador. The popular cover girl believes there is an opening for some beauty brand to take the lead and bring out an all-inclusive ranges of products to cater for all types of women who wear make-up every day.
