Serena Williams balances her fashion line with motherhood. American tennis ace, Serena Williams reveals that she doesn’t know how she balances her time spent with dealing with her fashion company and that of being a mother and playing the sport she is famous for.

The world tennis ace is one of the most famous names in the world of Tennis today and since the arrival of her daughter, Alexis back in 2017, she doesn’t know how she balances her life on court, being a mother and running her fashion empire, but she does.

The 37-year-old Tennis supremo who is originally from Michigan but now lives in Florida with her husband and business partner, Alex Ohanian who she wed back in November 2017.

The tennis ace come fashion designer, launched her own eponymous clothing line, “Serena” earlier this year with a ladies and men’s clothing line that includes, Dresses, Top, Outerwear, Bottoms and tack-suits.

She admits that she likes to take the “hands on approach” to running the business because of her keen interest in fashion which is now influencing other celebrities and public figures with the Duchess of Sussex, (AKA) Meghan Markle, wearing items from her fashion range.

Chatting to 0n-line teenage fashion magazine, Teen Vogue, Serena said: “Honestly, I don’t know. I go to bed every night thinking, ‘How did I get through this day?’ I’m sure a lot of people out there can relate, right? It’s like, this day is over, it’s 10 o’clock, I got through it. How did that happen? That’s kind of how I am. “Now I’m training on top of running this fashion company, on top of being a full-time mom. I’m super hands-on as a mom. I just take it as it is and realise that everyone goes through the same thing.”

By her own submission, Serena admits that she is perfectionist but also understands that no two days will ever be the same or go as planned.

She continued: “I think it’s really important to realise that no day is going to be perfect. For me, that’s really hard because I strive for perfection, and I feel like everything I do has to be great and has to be perfect, because I am a true perfectionist. But that’s impossible. That’s not reasonable. Then I realise that, OK, I had a rough day today, let’s do something to make it better tomorrow. I think it’s important to expect to have some really rough times when you’re going through something, but always know that you can overcome it.”

Serena is infamous for her on-court outfits and in the past has teamed up with sports brands Puma and in 2004 signed a €35 Million euro contract with American sports giant, Nike for their new fashion sports line.
