Naomi Campbell launches her own YouTube channel. Supermodel of the 80’s and 90’s, Naomi Campbell is set to launch her own YouTube channel today (30-11-2018) that will give her supporters a rare glimpse into her day to day life.
The 48-year old glamour queen of fashion is hoping that her new channel will connect her fans and give them an insight to her roles as a model, business woman and activist and allow them communicate with her directly as she goes about her daily life.
Chatting to on-line fashion industry magazine, WWD, Naomi said “I want to show the world who I am and what I stand for,” Campbell explains. “My hope is that when you engage with my channel that you are inspired by what you see, that it pushes you to be the best you can be, to do your part in the world and to pursue your dreams”,
The British fashion model will also give an insight to the work she does for various charitable causes and supports charities such as Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Back in 2005, the beauty model set up her own charity “We Love Brazil” that raises awareness and money for people living in poverty in Brazil through the promotion and sale of material and fabrics made by the local Brazilian population.
In 2009, Campbell was also given Honorary Patronage of Trinity College in Dublin by their own University’s Philosophical Society for her charity work.
As well as her charitable side, Naomi is still in high demand by companies looking for her to promote their brands. In the past Naomi has worked with leading fashion houses that include, Fendi, Versace, Prada, Victoria’s Secret, Tommy Hilfiger and the list goes on.
Earlier in June of this year (2018) the Brixton beauty was awarded the prestigious “Fashion Icon Award” by the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) for her contribution to fashion.
When asked how she feels about letting the public into her day to day life Naomi replied: “I am honored to be able to share my life on YouTube and to have the unique opportunity to communicate my story in my own voice,” Her chanel “Being Naomi” goes live today.
