Gwyneth Paltrow reveals her $600 nightly skin routine

Gwyneth Paltrow reveals her $600 nightly skin routine. Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her costly night-time skincare routine in a new video with Harper’s Bazaar. To the surprise of no one, the Goop founder relies heavily on products from her own lifestyle brand.

Sporting wet hair and a white robe, the Iron Man star begins her routine with dry body brushing to exfoliate and improve circulation, using Goop’s G.Tox Ultimate Dry Brush ($20).

“So right before I showered, I did my dry brushing routine. You can actually do this before or after the shower. I like to do it before,” she explains in the video.

In the shower, the fresh faced beauty likes to use Goop’s G.Tox Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub Shampoo ($42) and the range’s Detox Salt Body ScrubGoop’s G.Tox Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub ($40).

About the shampoo, she says, “It really scrubs your scalp so clean while not drying out your hair. It’s an amazing shampoo. Very innovative if you ask me.”

She then treats herself to the Exfoliating Instant Facial ($125), which she says is like ‘a professional facial in a jar.

“On the jar it says to use it three times a week but I use it every night. What I like so much when you get a professional facial is that there are always a couple of kinds of exfoliation. So we developed this instant facial to have an acid tingly exfoliation and then also a manual exfoliation.”

Demonstrating how to rub the product into her skin, Gwyneth uses a hot wash cloth to wipe it off for what she calls her ‘third exfoliation’.

Despite the hefty price tag of the Instant Facial, it’s not the most expensive item that Gwyneth uses.

To combat her dry skin, she uses the Vitner’s Daughter botanical serum, which costs a whopping $185 a bottle.

“At night time I always love to use Vitner’s Daughter. I love it, my skin tends to be on the drier side. t’s not only an oil-based serum. April, the woman who makes it, says it’s full of all sorts of fantastic things–it really heals skin.”

The ‘Shallow Hal’ star then dabs a $140 Dr. Barbara Strum Eye Cream around her eyes as she finishes her routine, which varies depending on location and season.

“In the summer I tend to use less night cream because we are on the East Coast and its got a nice humidity in the air,’ she says. ‘But if I am in California, especially in the winter, then I use a nice night cream.’

The Oscar winning actress ends her routine by using $12 lip balm from Love + Sage.
