Charlie Sheen celebrates one year being sober. American actor, Charlie Sheen is celebrating one year on the wagon and reveals her has never felt better.

The “Two and a Half Men” actor who has been sober now for over a year was also rewarded a one-year sobriety medallion which is awarded by Alcoholics Anonymous to reformed alcoholics who have been free of alcohol for a year.

Sheen who is committed to kicking all his addictions said he is “totally focused” on staying away from addictive substances.

Carlos Irwin Estévez (AKA) Charlie Sheen’s film career started back in 1984 when he first starred in Red Dawn which was a Cold War drama where he appeared alongside fellow actor, Patrick Swayze.

He then went on to star in films such as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Wall Street as well as many other well known movie productions making him one of the most best know Hollywood stars of his era.

The “Hot Shots” star took to his social media account yesterday to celebrate his success of reaching the milestone of being free from toxic substances saying: “so, THIS happened yesterday! a fabulous moment, in my renewed journey. #TotallyFocused (sic)”

The 53-year-old loveable actor posted a photo of the black coin awarded by AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) that features the words “To thine own self be true”, which also includes a triangle which reads “Unity, Service, Recovery”. The triangle has a circle inside it which features the letter I, which is the roman numeral for one.

Sheen has openly battled with his addiction for many years and was previously sober for over a 11-years before going back to his old bad habits.

Back in 2011, The “Platoon” actor was sadly diagnosed as being HIV positive. The “Mad Families “star publicly revealed his HIV diagnoses back in November 2015.

Sheen has been married three times and has Five children as well as a granddaughter. At the height of his career, Charlie was the highest paid actor on the small screen with him being paid a whopping €1.5 million ($1,8 million USD) per appearance on US hit TV comedy “Two and a Half Men”

Sheen supports a lot of local and national charities in the US and is quoted in saying that he is determined this time around to quick his additions for good!
